Starting this year, goods from Macau transported to Hengqin will be tax-free. The assurance was given today by the director of the executive committee of the cooperation zone, Lei Wai Nong, during the Hengqin 2023 Global Investment Promotion Conference.

According to the Secretary for Economy and Finance of Macau, the cooperation zone will start operating as an autonomous customs zone in 2023.
