Organic food is gaining ground in China as increasingly health-conscious consumers pay greater attention to food quality, safety and sustainability. For European SMEs, this evolving market presents opportunities, but also requires a clear understanding of local regulations and certification requirements.

On 30 October, the EU SME Centre and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China are organising a seminar in Beijing and online with expert Rita Merkle, Head of Science Dialogue at the Sino-German Agricultural Centre (DCZ).

During this event, we will explore key market trends, market access conditions and China’s organic certification procedures. Participants will also be able to take part in a live Q&A session.

This information session is open, free of charge, to all European SMEs and other stakeholders of the EU SME Centre, including business support organisations and trade promotion organisations, as well as public institutions from EU Member States and countries participating in the Single Market Programme.

The event will take place both onsite in Beijing (EU SME Centre Office, Sanlitun DRC) and online on Zoom. We encourage registrants based in Beijing to attend in person and take part in the networking discussions following the seminar.
