The Commissioner of Foreign Affairs in Macau handed over a series of television documentaries on the development of the People’s Republic of China to Portuguese-speaking television channels. The ceremony was attended by Commissioner Liu Xianfa, Secretary for Social Welfare and Culture Elsie Ao Ieong, Consul General of Mozambique Rafael Marques, Consul General of Angola Eduardo Velasco Galiano and members of the Board of Directors of TDM.

The President of the Board of Directors of TDM, António José de Freitas, said that the broadcasting of the documentaries in Portuguese-speaking countries “will certainly allow them to learn more about the efforts of the Chinese authorities and their struggle for quality development, actively promoting cultural exchanges”.

Elsie Ao Ieong, secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, said that “Extraordinary Construction is an important documentary produced by China Media Group and China State Construction Engineering Corporation that showcases the wonders of Made in China, Built in China and Created in China”.

Liu Xianfa, the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs in Macau, highlighted that through the documentary launch, “we hope to use this medium to highlight Macau’s role as a platform for exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, and to explore more opportunities for cooperation between the two sides”.

Mozambique’s Consul General in Macau, Rafael Marques, noted that “this event is a testimony to the excellent results achieved during the visit of delegations from public television organisations from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macau in September this year, when cooperation agreements were signed between Macau Television and television companies from Portuguese-speaking countries”.

“Extraordinary Construction – Building a Modern World Together by Spreading the Craftsman’s Spirit” is a series of six TV documentaries produced by China Media Group and the China State Construction Engineering Corporation showcasing the development of infrastructures across Mainland China.
