The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) on Tuesday launched an initiative to strengthen scientific and technological innovation in agricultural machinery and equipment.

The initiative aims to accelerate the mechanized, intelligent and green development of agricultural production, providing solid equipment support for ensuring the country’s food security as well as high-quality agricultural and rural development.

Focused on solving the key problems of agricultural machinery and equipment, the initiative calls for enhancing scientific and technological research on efficient, intelligent and green agricultural machinery.
