Macau-based C&C Lawyers has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dentons, a major international and full-service law firm in Mainland China, aimed at promoting the future legal regime in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

“This partnership will combine both legal teams’ strengths through flexible and open cooperation and the exchange of legal services and resources in Zhuhai and Macao, strengthening the principle of “one country, two systems”, C&C’s director and general manager Rui Pedro Cunha said, as quoted in a press release.

C&C Lawyers and Dentons have established a collaborative working platform, operating in the neighbouring zone’s Hengqin IFC.

Dentons has a China-wide legal service network and offices in major cities around the world. In 2019, it was the world’s fifth largest law firm by revenue.

Dentons (Zhuhai) was incorporated in Henqgin  in 2012, becoming the first law firm to set footholdthere.

C&C Lawyers was established in Macau in 1996 by senior lawyer Rui José da Cunha. It is one of the city’s top law offices, with cooperation arrangements with partners in Hong Kong, Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking countries.
