We are a few weeks away from the return of Portugal-China Gala which will be held on the 10th of November, at Tejo Power Station (Central Tejo), Lisbon.
After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the event characterized by the celebration of bilateral relations, as well as the contact between institutional and business representatives of both countries, is back, returning in safe conditions and with all the attractive elements of previous editions.
“A MULTILATERAL FUTURE”
The world is changing and the major powers are seeking to assume dominance positions, so the economic and trade relations are currently quite unpredictable, which directly effects people and businesses operating in the Portuguese-Chinese universe.
In that sense, the subject for this year’s edition intends to focus on cooperation and peaceful coexistence as a form of common development.
Among the various guests, the confirmed presence of António Costa Silva, Minister of Economy and Maritime Affairs, who will participate in a debate with the President of the CCILC, Vera Pinto Pereira, and Zhao Bentang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Portugal which also has a scheduled intervention.
With the return of the Gala, the Corporate Merit Awards also return. These are awards are given to the entities that have distinguished themselves in the strengthening of economic and commercial relations, between the period 2020-2022. Categories for this year edition: Chinese Investment in Portugal; Portuguese investment in China; Foreign Trade; Lusophony; Health and wellness; Greater Bay Area; Personality/Entity of the Year.
