The Chinese brand Kove is now available in our country through the national importer MB Motor Portugal.
The Motos Bordoy group has reached an agreement with the recently created Kove motorcycle brand for exclusive distribution of its products in Portugal and Spain. The incorporation of Kove is part of the expansion plan being executed by the company, both in business and operational terms.
In Portugal, its branch office, MB Motor Portugal, will implement the Chinese brand and develop the entire commercial plan.
Kove is a brand with a still relatively short history, having aroused the interest of European motorcyclists when it presented its range at the EICMA 2022 Milan Show, surprising with its product portfolio.
With the arrival of Kove, MB Motor Portugal adds to the previously known brands – QJ Motor and Macbor – a brand that is not unfamiliar to you. Colove, owner of Kove, is the company that has manufactured, under OEM modality, for Macbor the Montana XR5 and the Eight Mile 500 SCR and STR.
Now that Colove has opened up to international markets with its own brand, Motos Bordoy has decided to continue and strengthen this close collaboration, and has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the entire Iberian Peninsula. Although it is a new brand, Kove’s products arrive in Portugal promising an excellent compromise between price and quality, a feeling that has been reinforced thanks to the excellent results obtained in the last edition of the Dakar Rally.
The three bikes, which for the first time carried the Kove colors in the most demanding rally raid in the world, managed to finish the race, and in a way surprised the motorcycle world and all lovers of this competition motorcycling discipline.
To date, the Kove has only been marketed in the domestic market, and now prepares its “attack” in Europe, which began with the official presentation at the EICMA Milan Show last year.
The range of products to be commercialized in Portugal still in 2023 will be announced soon. When it enters the Portuguese market, the brand will offer models in the Naked, Classic, Adventure, Rally Raid, and Sport segments, and for the year 2024, it is planned to expand the range through the arrival of more Off Road and “R” models.
