The seminar series organised by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM), and the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) concluded recently in Beijing. The Portuguese Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC) was represented by its Secretary-General, Bernardo Mendia, and Marta Trindade, Partner & Co-head of the China Desk at Abreu Advogados, a CCILC member firm.
Over the course of two intensive weeks, participants attended lectures, conferences, and institutional visits, deepening their understanding of key strategic themes such as Free Trade Zones (FTZ), international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), trade and investment facilitation, and aviation operations management in BRI partner countries.
At the closing ceremony, Bernardo Mendia expressed his gratitude to the organising entities and emphasised the truly enriching nature of the experience. He highlighted the value of knowledge exchange, cultural dialogue, and the strengthening of friendships as essential foundations for increasingly robust international cooperation.
