CIFTIS is an important platform for China to actively expand its opening-up and promote international cooperation in trade in services. Leaders of the state council of China attended every session of CIFITIS and delivered keynote speeches at the Global Trade in Services Summit, visited exhibitions and met with distinguished guests. As permanent supporters, WTO, UNCTAD and OECD will hold the Global Trade in Services Summit in turn with the organizing committee. The meeting is attended by government dignitaries both at home and aboard, representatives of relevant international organizations, representatives of government agencies, and domestic and foreign merchants, etc., which has built consensus on the development of service trade.

The previous five sessions of CIFTIS attracted 79 countries and regions for holding exhibitions and conferences, nearly 200 international organizations and associations and more than 646,000 professional visitors to attend. The intentional total trade value reached US$424.27 billion. CIFTIS has become an important platform for all countries to strengthen policy communication in service areas, and for excellent enterprises to exhibit innovative products and explore business opportunities.

The 2019 CIFTIS will be held from May 28 to June 1, 2019 in Beijing. This session will center on the theme of “Opening-up, Innovation, Intelligence and Integration”, arrange the venue in an innovative manner and give an exhibition covering 130,000 square meters. This year’s CIFTIS uses the form of “one main venue assisted by multiple others” for the first time, the China National Convention Center will still serve as the main venue and at the same time over 20 thematic exhibitions, over 200 conferences and business talks will be held at other 9-10 branch venues.
