After 30 years of the Basic Law, the Chief Executive announced that the Government will focus on implementing the “new concept, new ideas and new strategies on ‘One Country, Two Systems’”, according to Xi’s instructions.

Uncompromisingly defend the Central Government, and above all protect national security, while guaranteeing the predominance of the Executive over all other powers. These were some of the tasks undertaken by the Chief Executive at the ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of the enactment of the Basic Law of Macau, which took place on Friday at the Forum Macau building.

Looking to the future, Ho Iat Seng promised that the Macao SAR Government will implement “President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions”, especially “the new concept, new ideas and new strategies on ‘One Country, Two Systems’”
