Where Blue Innovation Meets Global Action
Throughout June 2026, Oeiras will host the GLOBAL OEIRAS OCEAN DAYS 2026, an international initiative organised by Fórum Oceano, the Municipality of Oeiras, Oeiras Valley Investment Agency and the International Forum for Clean Energy – Macao (IFCE).
Dedicated to the future of the blue economy, this initiative will bring together policy makers, companies, investors, research organisations, international clusters, diplomats, startups and strategic ocean economy stakeholders to discuss some of the most relevant transformations shaping the maritime sector today.

A meeting point for the new global blue economy
Under the motto “Where Blue Innovation Meets Global Action”, the GLOBAL OEIRAS OCEAN DAYS 2026 aim to position Oeiras and Portugal as an Atlantic platform for blue innovation, maritime energy transition, blue investment and international cooperation.
More than a conference, this initiative is designed as a strategic meeting point for those working at the intersection of science, technology, industry, finance, public policy, entrepreneurship and economic diplomacy.
For members, partners, companies, institutions and stakeholders connected to the blue economy, this will be an opportunity to follow international trends, identify cooperation opportunities, meet relevant actors and strengthen the role of Portugal in the global ocean economy ecosystem.

PORTUGAL-CHINA
Green Maritime Fuels & Decarbonization Forum 2026
Venue: Templo da Poesia, Oeiras | 1–2 June 2026
This first event will focus on maritime decarbonization, green maritime fuels and the development of new value chains for the energy transition of the shipping sector.
The programme will address topics such as:
- Green hydrogen, green ammonia, green methanol and e-fuels
- Green port bunkering infrastructure
- Sustainable maritime corridors
- EU regulation, certification and compliance pathways
- Financing models for green maritime infrastructure
- Portugal-China cooperation and Europe-Asia connectivity
A key focus will be the role of Portugal, China and other strategic markets in accelerating maritime decarbonization and developing new cooperation routes between Europe, Asia, the Atlantic and the Greater Bay Area.

Oeiras Bluetech Ocean Forum 2026
Venue: IPMA, Oeiras | 15–16 June 2026
The second event will be dedicated to blue innovation, science, technology, investment and internationalisation.
The programme will highlight the role of Hub Azul Portugal, including the national network of blue innovation hubs, the Hub Azul School, the Hub Azul digital ecosystem, the results of ideation, venture building and acceleration programmes, and the Hub Azul Dealroom as a platform to map investment trends and opportunities in the blue economy.
The event will also explore:
- Blue investment and catalytic finance
- Bluetech startups and scaleups
- Portugal Blue Digital Hub
- Dual-use ocean technology
- International cooperation with strategic markets
- Portuguese companies and technology showcases
- Science-to-market pathways in the blue economy
This forum will provide a strategic setting to discuss how Portugal can strengthen its role as a hub for ocean innovation, investment attraction and international business cooperation.
