China-Portugal R&D Forums: “Green Hydrogen in Power Systems”
The Sino-Portuguese Centre for New Energy Technologies, in collaboration with the Shanghai Investigation Design and Research Institute and the Portuguese Diaspora Council, is pleased to announce the third edition of the cycle of webinars “China-Portugal R&D Forums” on December 12th. The webinar will focus on the topic “Green Hydrogen in Power Systems”.
We are excited to have renowned experts as our guests, including:

The China-Portugal R&D Forums aim to promote technical exchange and enhance collaboration on relevant topics for the energy transition, mainly in Portugal and China.

SCNET: The Sino-Portuguese Centre for New Energy Technologies (SCNET) is a joint venture dedicated to research on new technologies such as energy storage, offshore wind power, smart grids, and energy management. We collaborate with top universities and institutions in China and abroad, participate in international conferences, and develop projects focused on accelerating the sustainable energy transition.
SIDRI: The Shanghai Investigation, Design and Research Institute (SIDRI), established in 1954, is an A-level R&D institute affiliated with China Three Gorges Corporation since 2013. SIDRI is involved in the design and monitoring of the construction of hydropower, wind and solar PV plants, and has received over 70 awards for Science and Technology Development at the Chinese Provincial and Ministerial levels, as well as over 300 awards for excellent survey and design capabilities at the Provincial and Ministerial levels.
Portuguese Diaspora Council: The Portuguese Diaspora Council is a non-profit association founded in 2012, under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic. The President of the Republic serves as the Honorary President of the World Portuguese Network, and the Minister of Foreign
Affairs is the Honorary Vice-President. The Council aims to strengthen relations between Portugal and its diaspora, particularly Portuguese individuals and those of Portuguese descent residing abroad. Through their merit and influence, the Council seeks to have them contribute to the universal affirmation of Portuguese values and culture. The primary intervention tool of the World Portuguese Network involves a broad set of influential Portuguese individuals in the fields of Economy, Sciences, Culture, and Citizenship. Currently, this network comprises 211 advisors spread across 35 countries on all five continents.
