2018 “EU – China Tourism Year” Light Bridge to be held in China

A European Blue Lighting Campaign will be promoted to the public in some key Chinese cities across the country around May 9th, to coincide with the celebration of “European Day”.

The campaign is jointly held by the World Tourism Alliance and one of its founding members the China Association of Scenic Spots, in order to celebrate 2018 EU -China Tourism Year.

During the event, European blue lighting events will be held in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Dalian, Suzhou, Qingdao, Zaozhuang, Jining, Penglai, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Yichang, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Kunming and Xian, with 33 scenic spots in 18 cities.

According to the 2018 “EU -China Tourism Year” schedule, 66 sites in 18 countries shined in red- the main color of the Chinese flag- in order to celebrate the Chinese Lantern Festival, including Belgium, France, Spain, and Italy in March, around the Chinese Lantern Festival. The light bridge campaign held by World Tourism Alliance, is an important activity under the 2018 “EU- China Tourism Year” framework.
